after putting stuff down me and my boss had to go down to the printers which helped print our conference notebook material.. there were 2 branches in beijing but we were told to go down to the one further fr the hotel cos the other branch was still bz wif our notebooks! hahahaha.. told em to deliver on the day i arrive but seems tat they can oni do so the next day cos one of their machines broke down or smth... but the purpose of our trip was actually to print extra stuff... when we left our hotel it was aredi getting dark ard 5! hahahhaa... tats real earli but nt earli as australia la which gets dark aredi at 4... while waiting for the stuff to be printed i decided to go get some snacks and liisa had to get some toiletries so we asked where the nearest supermart was... the front desk guy said there was carrefour 10mins behind but said another one was ard the corner known as so we went there instead... haha while we were getting our stuff everyone was lookin at liisa cos she was the oni blond ard... seldom do angmohs appear in these territories so they were really curious hhaahaha... she said its normal tho and shes used to it... a couple of salesgals walked past us and shyly said hello to her ahhahahahaa... so funni.... then we went back to the printers and picked up our stuff b4 makin our way back to the hotel... it was then tat i noticed some of our printed notebooks on a table! hahahah... looks really really thick... we said tat we were fr the co makin the notebook and requested to take a look at it... haha boss seems really impressed wif my masterpiece hehehe...

yup so we went back to hv dinner wif another 2 colleagues who had arrived same day as us.... candy is the regional director in charge of middle east and abby is our conference coordinator.. i met candy aredi last yr at our conference here... we had a nice chat b4 retiring for the day cos liisa, candy and i had to attend sinopec's conference the next day b4 ours officially start the day after....

Day 2 - Sinopec conference day 1
hmm i was unofficially made the 'tour guide' and chaperone since i was the oni one who could speak chinese among them hahaha.. had to tell the driver where we wanted to go in chinese manz... aniway when we reached candy got her name tag first since she was representing us by speakin at this conference and it says 贵宾 on her rosette so naturally she asked me wat it meant.. and i told her guest of honor although i tot later tat it shd mean more of VIP leh.. rite??? aniway me and liisa got our tags and i was introduced to the sinopec conference coordinator Ms Fu whom i was wkring closely wif in the last few mths since the 2 conferences was sup to be a cooperation kinda thing... she kindly brought us to a table where we could put up our co display and place flyers so tat pple attending this conference can also attend our conference..

besides listenin to the conference and fallin aslp in bet intervals hehehee.. a prob came up wif the sinopec registrants who has also registered for ours... Ms Fu told me tat some din wanna pay up for their event and tat we charged them twice... hmm i looked at the names and rem tat they were all payin by credit card and i said couldnt be cos our system oni bills the conference fee once... and we send them receipts to show proof too... but she still kept insisting we charged them doubly... it was then i realized tat all along they din use the credit card info tat i had provided them.. they oni processed cc payments onsite wif a machine cos they dun hv a system where they can deduct str away w/o using the card physically... haiz no wonder la.... the registrants tot their payment was aredi processed since they gave me their cc info ma... haiz kinda tot tat it was a big time waste of time cos i had to copy and paste the info and send to her... she could hv told me she din really need the info but she din lor... well then she asked me to explain personally to these registrants abt the situation and my boss was like tellin me nt to since it was their biz and their $... well i did help catch a few and explained but din care in the afternoon liao since i din even noe hw most of them look like hahahaha....

well my boss left halfway back to teh hotel to take care of some stuff and to make sure our co's exec VP arrives safely... we were expecting her to bring him over for the sinopec conference dinner but seems tat he touched down pretty late so oni me and candy went for the dinner.. the pple at our table were pretty nice.. consisted of additive cos like BASF and Orxye (a new co). as usual candy brightened the table up wif her stories back in south africa and korea.. she's truly 1 international person having wkred in USA, UK, South Africa, Korea, Singapore and now Bahrain in middle east! heehhee....we had some nice typical chinese dishes and the waitress kept presenting the dishes and told me their names hahahha.. do i look like i am a loudspeaker?? hehehee... hmm entertainment wise a gp of gals were playing chinese instruments in traditional chinese clothes and after tat they opted for modern clothes and played hip music using the same instruments juz like wad the 12-gal band fr china does.. i tink they r called 十二乐坊 izzit? hehehe... there was a hk guy at the table who mentioned tat to candy and i totally agreed him wif him hahahaa... hmm seems tat at the end of dinner almost all the pple at other tables had aredi cleared cept ours hahaha... my big boss calls it the party table cos i was also at the last table tat cleared at our very own conference dinner hahhahaha.... does this mean its happening havin me ard?? hahahaha... aniway we shared a cab back wif the orxye guys since they were stayin at the same hotel as ours as they were sponsors for our conference... hee we saved cab $ for our co by doin tat hehehehee....

hmm when we came back to the hotel our exec VP, fred and other colleagues were having dinner tog so we decided to drop in to say hello... it was really nice to finally see the big shot.. and he asked for a hug frm me and i graciously said sure... hahahahahha liisa did warn me b4hand tat this will happen cos he's a sentimental old guy.. so i was aredi fully prepared for it hahaha... i also finally met another colleague of mine stationed in US who flew in to help out wif registrations and stuff and she's a sweet lady hee... name's gretta... as usual we had a nice chat and fred, liisa and i were scheduled to meet up wif the senior VP of sinopec.. sinopec is a client of ours too... fred was sayin hw he had gotten nice pins frm the airport in the US which showed an american flag and a chinese flag crossing each other paths.. hehee really nice so he bought some and wanted to present this to the sinopec reps tom... wat a nice idea huh? he's really a pple's person as they say...

Day 3 - Sinopec conference day 2 / meeting wif Sinopec / our conference evening reception
yup its rise and shine to the sinopec meeting... haha fred was really sweet cos me and liisa din hv time to take our breakfast as we were bz preparing lst min printouts for the conference... so he handed us bread and yoghurt tat he got from the hotel to munch on in the cab hehe... at tat moment he feels like a really caring daddy to me... well we reached and were ushered to the top floor .. wah it felt really grand for me cos u dun really get to go to the top level as that is where oni the top top exec pple hv meetings at... we then had our short short meeting since the senior VP is a bz man and they exchanged really nice words and positive comments on future close cooperation... and fred did his thing by pinnin the flag thing on each of the sinopec reps as well as my org's pin... and they gave me and liisa scarves each and i tink fred got chinese tea leaves ba... really nice of them...

then we made our way back to the hotel and i had to pick up some stuff b4 i went back to the sinopec conference to listen to the afternoon presentations. we all had lunch and fred rushed off for a quick glimpse of the great wall cos our conference reception starts tonite hee.... seems tat i had to do some printing errands again b4 i could go to the conference and so i did tat on my own and made my way to the branch nearer to our hotel... a lady served me and i waited for my stuff to be printed b4 i realised tat she was the lady whom i had been liaising wif all along on the notebooks hahahahaha.... she was really surprised and happy to see me in person as well... then i made my way to the sinopec conference and managed to see candy speak in time... we left juz b4 the last presentation ended for our conference reception... boss was tellin me to go back asap as there was a crisis...hmmm

and when i got back i also met my big boss Kristine who flew in fr Shanghai after attending a conference there... she looked really diff fr wat i expected... she muz be 40+ but she really looked like 30-ish wif her tall and skinny frame.. veri professional looking on the outside as well as inside =p then gretta approached me and passed me smth... it was a gift which was a mug saying houston! i felt really bad cos i was too bz wif the conference to think of getting one for her fr sg... aniway i finally knew wat the crisis was... cos the senior VP of sinopec was to speak at our event the next day and his rep brought the presentation notes to our registration desk... was upset tat the senior VP's bio was nt present in our notebook.. liisa explained to him tat it din made it in time for the notebook but he was still really upset... so i had to make another trip down to the printers to print it out in bulk plus some other material as well...had to rush back to explain to the AVA team hw i want the presentations to be shown cos there were 2 screens showin eng and chi ma... abit of communication prob there la since they cant really read my eng named files haiz... but managed to explain most of it to the main person la... then finally went back to my room (was aredi ard 10pm at tat time) to hv my dinner so ordered some nice dishes from the rm service menu since its charged to the co ma hehehehe... saw a movie on HBO but cant seem to rem the title now and also some MVs on ch V...

Day 4 - Hart's conference day 1
haiz the nitemare begins today hahahahahaa... yup the conference officially starts today and i had to make sure i was there so tat speakers can pass their ppts to me to upload onto the AVA podium laptop... well most of the time pple wanted to replace the ppts they had prev sent me so most of my time was doin tat and they makin sure it looked fine... kaoz really spent too much time on tat manz... i also had to pass notes to the interpreters at the same time.. imagine hw much runnin i had to do in tat room the whole time??? ahhahaha... in one of the breaks Ms Fu from the sinopec conference passed me a gift! wow a 2nd one? it was a tshirt stating beijing olympics... starting to feel really really bad tat i din get anything special for her... altho liisa did give her our co pen... it was finally lunch time when the first morning rush blew over.... afternoon was ok since i had most of the ppts b4hand liaoz... we were scheduled to meet 4 a private lunch wif the other big china oil co known as petrochina.. it was nice to meet up wif them too esp wif a lady who was really helpful wif her colleague's ppt and registrations for her colleagues at our conference... she kept askin me to eat more since she saw tat i was really bz wif the conference stuff hahaha.. wat a sweet lady... yup then it was back to the conference and it was over b4 our special gala dinner started at 7.

tables were set up in the same room for the dinner and i took the chance to interact wif some sinopec pple for my consulting work... haiz din really get to tok to the pple i wanted for my job since i was totally bz wif the conference logistics.. but it was nice to hv some pple come up to me and thanked me for helpin them wif registration, ppts, etc hehehee.... guess tat kinda really brightens me up despite the crazy hrs and effort i put in... aniway i was made the 'flower gal' cos rosettes need to be passed out to the VIPs and the clients tat we wanted to honor at the dinner... i had to match name tags to the list since i dun even noe hw some of them look like! hahhahaha....

there was abit of panic attack juz b4 the dinner cos we din noe hw to seat the VIPs accordingly like whether they shd face the stage and all tat.... but it was solved in the end altho dinner was pushed back half an hr later... i helped seat a few kittys who sat by themselves to join other tables so that its easier to serve food and pple wun be left alone... and as i said i was seated at the party table cos the pple were really interesting.. cant rem the stories they shared but the memory sure lingers.... i was really impressed wif an angmoh guy frm Baker Petrolite seated next to me cos he could read Chinese characters! hhahahaha apparently he has a jap wife and he nw resides in shanghai tats y he so power la hehee... they even wanted to go to a Blues bar to chill out after the dinner! hahaha.. i was kinda tired and had to 'wrk' the next day so din join them... juz b4 i left i received another gift! gosh.. well this time is fr one of the clients la.. was grateful to me and liisa for allowing them to speak at our conference last min... they wanted to give out sim card backup devices as gifts to the attendees in exchange for their registration fee but liisa said no.. so they gave them to me and liisa instead! heheheh.. i was tellin liisa b4 we left for beijing tat maybe we may get one of those as gifts and it came true! hahahah... liisa wanted one cos she tinks its cool... no more typin contacts' names and nos again when u buy a new hp hehehe...

Day 5 - Hart's conference day 2
hmm another long day today... more last min ppts handed to me.. apparently the podium laptop wasnt wrking well and there was a technical hiccup.. i couldnt open 1 of the keynote ppts! pengz.... we took some time to change laptops and the conference was delayed by almost half an hr wor... and it din help tat the 1st 2 ppts were quite long.... but luckily the timing was saved by the 2nd panel and everything went back on track... but i was totally shacked cos there were 3 parallel running sessions in the panel rite after lunch so i hv like 3 times the no of ppts to be uploaded! hahahhaha....yup had to skip my lunch to make sure the ppts went where they r sup to go to... almost towards the end of the conference my boss came up to me to tell me its almost over and hw was i doing... she asked me whether i was tired and i said no... told her more of hungery.. and she immediately ordered food for me after knowin tat i din hv any food at all tat day... haha yalor.. when they were packing shop for the conference my colleagues were like tellin me to sit down to hv the spaghetti and were tellin me tat i could hv fainted and tat i shd ask them to get food for me if i knew i din hv time to go get some heee... well the thing is i din even really hv the time to step out to tell them... too engrossed in getting the position of ppts rite too...
aniway well we had a post conference meeting which was ordered by my big boss hee... so we had drinks at the lounge while discussing and i ordered singapore sling which was totally awful hahahaha.... gretta was elated to hv her free 2nd glass of red wine since it was happi hr hee.... haha u muz be tinkin i am crazy to say this but its really nice to hv this meeting altho its nth like in an office... its impossible tat i can get to attend meetings wif oni me and my boss so it really feels gd to be able to be part of co discussion... teleconferences are nth compared to this... esp when its a gal power world! hahhaa... fred had smth on so din join us.... gosh i received another gift again but tis time its from one of the hotel pple named suzy.. guess its like a friendly gesture to their clients ba... its a beautiful chinese style bed and pillow cover linen... looks too nice to be used leh hee.... liisa and i also received preserved mangos fr a speaker fr the philippines... so sweet of them hor???

after discussion we went on to hv our dinner and it was one of those nice dinners again... where we toked abt the conference and gossiped abt colleagues hehehehehe.... since i haven met most of those colleagues it was nice to hear the stuff goin on in the office... hahahha all eyes were lookin at me to order the food and i did so.. everyone seemed pleased wif the food selection i made =p kristine asked me was i doin ok on the job and i said i like it... she also asked whether my mum is still worried abt me travellin anot hahahahahhaha... liisa muz hv told kristine abt my first plane flight as well as my first biz trip overseas... my mum kinda freaked out when she first knew i had to travel hahaha... but as i said to kristine i tink she's kinda used to it now lah hahaah.. cept tat shes really concerned whether i got enuff warm clothing and my trip details and the hotel i am stayin in and askin me to call her on the nite i arrive hahahhaa.... typical of mothers la hor?? aniway we stayed in the restaurant all the way till abt 1130 and realised tat we were the last gp of pple to leave ahhahahaa...

but its really nice to finally relax at last... abby, kristine and fred were leaving the next day liao so gretta, candy and i planned to go to the great wall the next day.. liisa had been there b4 liao so she wd only be accompanying Kristine to shop in the morning.... gretta and i went to book a car at the concierge to take us to the great wall which costs RMB800. there was a tour bus tat goes too at a cheaper rate but it takes the whole day and they din wanna do tat cos they wanna do shoppin in the afternoon! hehehehe.... really lookin forward to the next day...

Day 6 - R&R day 1
yup took the car to the great wall which took abt 1.5hrs... i sat in front and had a nice chat wif the driver as he was amazed at hw well i spoke chinese hahahahaa.... he said tat he had a guest fr sg also but tat guy din speak 'as well' as i did... and tat guy's kids din even speak a single word of chinese... haha i said maybe its cos of the environment i am in ba.. wif family and frens tat still spoke chinese... he was also interested in when my grandparents came to sg and i told him it was juz after the 1949 revolution since my dad was born ard tat time in hainan isl... then he tot i was rich and i said no since my grandpa was a cab driver.. then he said it muz be due to certain circumstances tat forced them to immigrate to such a place so far away fr china at tat time... haha then he also tok abt the places we saw along the way and pointed out which plot of land will be used for the olympics...

then we finally reached the great wall located at ba da ling which was more for tourists.. shopkeepers started haggling prices along our way to the entrance to get tixs and gretta has a soft spot for pashmina shawls so she bought one... then we bought tixs and climbed three sections of the great wall... and as liisa expected, gretta got asked by a lady to take a pic wif her haha.... no one took pics wif me since i look the same as them so i took pics wif a camel instead! hehehehee... when we got down both candy and gretta got asked to take pics... and when we got out we bought stuff from the souvenir shops... this is where i bought most of my souvenir gifts for my frens! hehehhee... cheapcheap...

we left at 12+ and took the car back to town and asked the driver to drop us at hongqiao pearl market since the ladies wanna do some shoppin... i fell aslp along the way due to the heavy traffic and din realise tat it was aredi 315 when i woke up... way long past lunch liao!! haha but we din reach until almost 4 ba cos there was a very bad traffic jam into town even tho it wasnt even after office hrs yet... weird... aniway i chatted wif them and asked wat the other colleagues back in the US are like hehehee... me kaypoh ma since i wrk wif them but cant really interact wif them... and it was then tat gretta asked me hw old i was and i asked hw old i looked? hehee then candy said nah u cant trick us since i noe u aredi hv done ur degree so ur age would be 24! hehehehhe... so smart.... then both of them said they were old enuff to be my mother leh! haha wow.. well maybe its cos both of them dun hv any children tats y they said tat? i felt kinda strange when they said tat but i guess they wd hv been really gd mothers to their kids! hehehe... aniway when we reached the market looks like those chinatown old shoppin centres but inside sells all the cheap electronic, clothes, bags, etc.. the souvenirs werent as cheap as the ones i bought at the great wall tho...

b4 we started our shoppin we had our late lunch at one of the eateries juz outside the market... at first i asked ard whether there was any places to hv food and the guard i tink told me there was kfc.. hahah they din wan kfc cos we could hv lots of them back home rite??? hahah they wanted chinese food... so we had dumplings and sichuan hot and sour soup... yumyum! the soup was far betta than the one we had at the hotel restaurant but the dumplings werent as nice... haha and really cheap.. we oni paid 1US buck each which oni means abt 1.6 SGD heheheheh.. over the meal they toked abt the driver and candy was sayin tat the driver seemed interested in me! hahahahhahaa i gave a big laff and told her he's old enuff to be my dad manz... both of them were shocked cos they tot he looked really young hahahahaa... gosh i asked them: u din see the white hairs at the sides of his head?? hehehee... guess they tot he was young as he was oni slightly taller than me and he had a young and cheerful disposition ba... hmm they were tokin abt their past marriages as both candy and gretta were divorced b4... gretta is still single whereas candy has remarried.. candy said she and her ex hubby drifted apart after 15 yrs tog... gretta and her ex hubby also had diff directions in life so they separated after 10 yrs tog... hmm its kinda sad but its gd to hear fr others' experience...

so after food we headed back to the market.... wah say both of them were shoppin queens manz.. esp candy hahahahaha..... she's very gd at bargaining... i admit defeat heheheheheh.... they bought bags la, more pashmina shawls la, hair accessories la, souvenirs la.. hahahahaha i oni bought 1 watch there lol.... i guess to them the stuff muz be really cheap relative to USD ba... but it was kinda scary shoppin there cos the salesgals will pull u to buy their stuff and haggle until their very very final price... the trick is to pretend to walk away and then they will lower the price hahahaha... but sometimes u dun really wanna buy after 2nd tots and they still dun let u go hehehe... lucky i am nt angmoh so they wun disturb me altho 1 lady did mention tat i looked like i was fr korea tho hehehehe dunno is it gd or bad...

so after tat we headed back to the hotel to put down our stuff and met up wif liisa to hv dinner... we tot it wd be nice to hv dinner outside of the hotel for a change so we walked to a steamboat place ard the corner... were kept waiting prob cos it was a fri nite ba... and i was made the one to order food again haiz hahahaa.... so i ordered chicken base soup and it was kinda gross cos they used black chicken chopped up into pieces and liisa kinda freaked out when she saw tat... i suggested askin the waiter to remove the pieces but she said she din wan to see those stuff at all.... seems tat she was pretty upset wif tat... aniway our steamboat had half spicy and half non spicy and the spicy half was really blazing hot! hahaha... but it was gd to hv in such cold weather... we had more nice chats over our luv lifes... well i din contribute much of mine la.. juz mentioned to them tat i din hv a bf... and liisa was like 'wat? u din tell me?' hahahah ya i din tell her back then la... well she din ask ma hee.... they were discussing liisa's luv life too and she mentioned most of the guys she dated were british and candy commented tat british guys are sooo boring heheheehhee.. told liisa its ok to date but nt to marry one hahaha...

so after dinner we went back to the hotel lounge to hv a drink.. tis time i had a watermelon martini which does nt taste nice at all... after abt half an hr into our chats i kinda felt sleepy liao after a long day and maybe partly due to the alcohol... so i retired early and candy left earlier too to pack up for her morn flight the next day... i held candy's hand and told her it was great meeting her again.. really like her alot.. she's like a great motherly figure =p

Day 7 - R&R day 2
so it was down to me, liisa and gretta today and gretta's flight was not until late afternoon so liisa accompanied her to tiananmen sq whereas i had to go down to the printers to make payment for 2 of our clients... they wanted to rent bicycles fr the hotel to go to tiananmen but seems tat the hotel din prov the service.. so they got it instead at one of the nearby hotels when they reached there.... i din noe hw to cycle so i couldnt join them so i went ard on my own instead to tiananmen sq and forbidden city... was kinda paiseh to keep asking passerbys to take pics of me for me hehehehehe... i oni bought tixs to go into forbidden city and bought a 1.5hr package wif a tour guide included... it was gd since she could explain as well as take pics of me at the same time! hehehehehhee.... i walked thru the official halls as well as the living quarters of the emperor as well as the queen (kunning palace) and the empress dowager (cining palace)...

then i left the forbidden city and moved onto another famous shoppin place known as yaxiu market... similar to hongqiao but sold more clothes... winter clothes infact so no pt for me to buy back hahahaha.... it was here tat i bought lots of accessories incl necklaces, earrings and more souvenirs... had my 4pm lunch at teh food court at the top floor as well b4 i left for a shoppin centre located near my hotel... but kinda disappointed when i reached this one cos they sold mostly ex stuff.. the department store reminds me of a classier isetan hehehehehe..

i was sup to meet liisa for dinner at abt 6pm so i had some time in bet and i made my way to another mini shoppin place juz opp the hotel hee.... the shoppin queen juz wun stop huh??? aniway this one reminds me abit of korea where they hv those shops selling the latest fashion stuff.... abit like far east plaza la... it was here tat i was tinkin maybe i shd get one of those nice ankle high heeled boots... hehehe prob wun use it often in sg but can use in cold countries when i get to 1 next time... i got a nice pair at 300 RMB when at 1st the salesguy quoted 520! hmm.. i shd hv slashed further since he slashed so much at 1 go! hahaha... after cruising the whole place i left and saw these cute pups being sold outside! soooooo cute.... i let one of them smell my hand but the owner was like tryin to keep them away fr me hahhaa... hey do i look like i am carryin a virus??? heheheheh

yup put my stuff down b4 meetin liisa at the lobby and she was askin me whether i wanted to catch some acrobatic show anot.. and i said ok... so we went to chaoyang theatre which wasnt too far away fr the hotel and it was really fantastic... din bring my cam wif me so took pics fr hers instead.. but it died out on me halfway cos batt ran out hahahha... need to get the pics fr her... they did stunts on high levels, bicycles, clothes, inflated balls.... really cool... haha in the end we din hv dinner tog cos we both had late lunches so i did room service instead.... b4 tat i went to liisa's room to get a suitcase fr her since i had sooo much stuff which i couldnt fit into mine hehehee.. she had to fly to korea to meet wif some clients and she had some stuff tat she din wanna bring wif her to korea so i brought them back for her.... pretty much enjoyed tis nite cos i watched 2 great movies on HBO! hehee.. one of them was hellboy... the other was james bond... but i kinda fell aslp while watching bond since i had to catch a flight early the next day....

Day 8 - Home sweet home
yup back to home nw... when i checked out hha i got a shock of my life manz... the hotel room was 200bucks per nite for my last 2nites on my own account! haha i knew the rate in RMB but forgot to mentally check it in SGD... wah say.... my credit card kana bombed again hehehehe.. cant spend tat much in BKK next mth liaoz... aniway there was this man who was also checkin out at the same time as me and he was in such a hurry cos he was goin to miss his flight tat he banged on the table at the reception person to check out for him immediately! haiz... earli in the morn tempers flarin liaoz...

hmm i was kinda lost when i reached the airport.. couldnt see the queue goin in hahaa... was quite a big crowd at the airport.. guess most pple takin flights at this time back to where they came fr to go back to wrk on mon ba.... when i went thru the security checks i was delayed slightly cos of some electronic battery in my hand luggage... hahahha.. the officers suggested it may be the batt in my watch but the watch was in another hand luggage leh... then we finally found the culprit which is a couple of panda bears i bought which could kiss and say i luv u hahahhahahaha.... i bought more food and some accessories at the duty free shops b4 i boarded my plane.... caught another 2 nice movies on the flight again hee... one is 'muz luv dogs' which is a nice romantic comedy and another called alzheimer case, which was nominated best foreign film at the oscars i tink.... haha when i got home, my mum was waiting for me downstairs to help wif the luggage and there were a couple of aunties there who saw tat i got back fr overseas hahahaha... asked where i had been, how long, for wad... haiz so embarrassing....

but i really enjoyed the stay in beijing tho.. it was kinda hectic and crazy doin wrk at the conference but the R&R paid it off... all the stress was cleared by then heee.... definitely nice memories i brought back wif me...
