Cashflow>

oooh i played this board game yest... a fren's fren organizes grp events like this for pple to play and learn board games so my fren invited me to go since i nvr play b4... it was oni recently tat i knew of this game fr dejia pei and zj... so i went and also c hw my $ management skills r hahaha.... nt tat gd tho since i was bz clearin my liabilities (to reduce expenses to increase cashflow) and nt buildin up my wealth to gain passive income hehehe... well we played for like over 3hrs and no one could get out of the rat race.. cos the aim of the game is to hv passive income exceed expenses.. so tat u can stop wkring until u die ma hahahahah... but they also set further rules such as havin passive income of 10,000bucks and clearin all liabilities b4 u r officially declared out of the rat race...

the job i got was a teacher and we had a pilot, secretary, police, doctor and a (male) nurse at my table hehehehee... hmm the pple playin at my table were in the wrkin force liao whereas the other 2grps mostly consisted of teeny boppers in poly or uni or juz fresh out of sch/NS.. there were facilitators explainin and helpin us understand the game and we had forms to fill in! hehehe.. yalor watever transaction we hv we need to keep track... paycheck la.. acquisition of property/biz/stocks/mutual funds la... bank loans la.. wah everyone was juz bz punching calculators =p hmm after the session we even had a debrief where the organizer asked us wat we learnt fr the game... someone said "Opportunities are everywhere" *me nod head* he also told us a couple of stories comparin the diff bet being an employer and an employee based on a plate of $2 char kway teow... he says tat altho both of them fork out $2 to pay for the same plate of food the employee in fact pays $2.56! hmm y leh? heres the breakdown:

note that the $2 is equivalent to the employee's salary

--- 13% CPF contribution by employer (u gotta wkr/earn $ for the employer b4 u can get this CPF contribution rite?)
= 13% of $2 = 26cents

--- 5% GST (prov hawker doesnt absorb this in the $2)
= 5% of $2 = 10cents

--- 10% income tax (assuming the rate u pay is 10%)
= 10% of $2 = 20cents

Total = $2 + $0.26 + $0.10 + $0.20 = $2.56

haha interestin rite... hmm he was sayin tat the employer doesnt hv to pay GST since they can claim back fr govt... hmm is there such an incentive?? i dunno... and doenst the employer hv to pay income tax based on his earnings??? someone pls enlighten me =p hmm he also had another story to tell based on chinese characters which was told to him by an italian businessman... wah fancy an angmoh teachin him chinese??? ehehe... its too bothersome to write here since quite a few characters are involved so lemme noe if u wanna hear the story =p well the next session is in feb after CNY and i dun mind goin again to play.. theres a similar game called Final Quotient (FQ) but its based on insurance.. i dun mind learnin tat too since i am still clueless abt insurance stuff..

hmm after havin such a fun session i had dinner and then ktv at a place called Ten Dollar Club located at chinatown... ya they charge 10bucks++ no matter wat time u go.. its a small place so u hv to book in adv... they hv free flow of drinks and 1bowl of sharks fin each! hehehe.. joy and alice next time i bring u gals there k?? hehe... hmm as i was sayin i was at chinatown and it was really packed... even after i left the ktv place at almost 11pm there were still sooo many pple ard... haha i seldom go down there durin the CNY period so it was quite an eye opener for me =p lots of candies and chinese CNY stuff ard...

hmm heard this song yest durin ktv... i seldom listen to canto songs but i tink i heard tis one b4... i dun tink theres a chinese version aniwhere rite? its the theme song of 百分百感觉2... hmm i oni hv 1 canto song in my collection which is leslie cheung's 追 cos i usually oni collect the chinese versions of canto songs and nvr the canto songs themselves.... heard some pretty nice canto songs yest so will be showin them over the next few posts =p
