Back from Yogyakarta>

yep phew dunno y but had a headache the 2nd day onwards when i was there so glad to be back in sg... din wanna stay long too since i was traveling alone (for the first time at work) but too bad din get the chance to visit borobudur temple which i heard is the only one of the seven wonders in the world located in indonesia juz on the outskirts of yogyakarta.... maybe next time =p

Day 1
basically spent the morn in the office and having annual co xmas lunch wif boss and karen... karen suggested going to mezzanine at hyatt... had a seat rite next to the kitchen where we can see the chefs and cooks preparing meals from a glass pane... i ordered some jap stuff and it was too sweet for me.... din hv time to hv some dessert cos had to catch my flight..

haiz part of the reason i din like this trip is the double flights i had to take since there wasnt any direct flight to yogyakarta fr singapore... so i had to fly to jakarta and then check out and check in again for a domestic flight to the city... and i regretted not taking SQ for the flight fr sg to jakarta cos garuda seats are really uncomfortable *see my other complaints on my flight back on day 3 =p* moral of the story = dun need to save money for the co when u dun even get a bonus at the end of the yr hahahahaha......

bought a shirt for kel to go to elaine's wedding dinner at the airport since there was 50% sale =p shd hv bought more cos i din find nicer ones later on.... aniway when i was at the waiting lounge for flight to yogyakarta, bumped into some clients aredi there.. both r fr shell in malaysia so pretty nice to see familiar face in an unfamiliar place :) when we reached yogyakarta it was aredi 9+ (and 10+ in sg cos of time difference)... haha first time tat i alighted fr the airplane and walked down steps rite onto the landing area...

haha felt abit scared at the 4-star hotel which i was at cos when i was bathing the lights suddenly went out for 3s and then came back on juz b4 i got out of the bathtub to check the lights.... guess its juz a short power trip... aniway i was soo exhausted tat i simply went str to bed although as usual i din slp well :)

Day 2
yup time to get to some networking for the day... met some familiar faces and wanted to meet those esp govt pple fr asia tat i freq corresponded with over email or phone but never met in person since this workshop is funded by WB and ADB for most govt pple.... oni met very few cos very difficult to meet those tat u wanna meet since there are close to 1,000 pple and come fr diverse sectors! actually i submitted a paper to present but they oni gave me a slot for poster presentation and our co dun usually do posters so i rejected the request and oni came as a participant.. but luckily i din present also cos there were sooo many qns posed at tat particular session =p

it was raining heavily half the day and i started to hv a headache in the early afternoon and maybe i ate too full... so when the late afternoon came and since it was oni poster presentation exhibit time, i took the chance to get back to hotel to catch some slp b4 goin for a dinner at sultan palace... haha i tot the palace wd be some grand place but they oni served the dinner and performances rite at the entrance area.. so prob din get to see the whole palace ba... haha one of the old time clients tok to me and said i was like my boss few yrs back looking so young and fresh... and given few more yrs time will look like wat my boss is now.. established in her career and experienced hahahha maybe..... it was a pretty short dinner so got back to the hotel early and had time to pack up for the next day to check out in the morn...

Day 3
yup checked out in the morn so tat i could attend the morn sessions and come back to retrieve my luggage after lunch to catch my flights.... i was early for the domestic flight and caught some slp at the waiting lounge... haha it was funny cos can see fr the window pane the airplanes coming rite towards u when they park at the gates as though they were goin to crash rite into u...

flight back to sg was delayed for an hr at the jakarta airport and tis was one of the frustrating moments... in the plane itself, i was seated near a family where the kids were really noisy and the food tat was served totally felt nauseating... i opened it and the smell of beef made me feel like vomitting so oni ate veges and abit of rice instead.... hahah nw u can see where my complaints came fr on the garuda flight... so no garudas to indonesia unless absolutely necessary....

haiz regretted to come back so early cos if i fly back the next day instead then i dun hv to wrk on fri and can slp in cos i oni got to slp 1+ after unpacking all my stuff =p bobian wad to do gotta wrk.... and of cos say a last gdbye to my boss b4 she leaves for houston....so nw i am the king of the office! ahahaahhah no la.... no immediate govt for now cept for candy fr bahrain =p
